How do I get one?

We have been getting so many requests for rain barrels that I figured that I should post the information here for how to purchase a rain barrel from us.

First I want to set the expectations. Building rain barrels is not really a business for us, this means that we don’t keep a huge stock of them on hand ready for delivery or pickup the next day. Sometimes we will have a couple on hand but we usually build to order which means that we can have a barrel ready for you in most cases by the upcoming weekend.

Second, we use as many recycled materials as possible so our barrels will have some cosmetic imperfections. Some people wear our barrels like a “green badge of honour” others want something that is the right colour to fit their outdoor decor. There is nothing wrong with looking for a super model looking barrel, it really depends on your goal. If you goal is to collect good water and store it for use later without having an eyesore in your yard then our barrel will do the trick. In fact they are more durable and functional then most of the made in China cheap plastic rain barrels that you will find at local home reno stores.

To place an order for a cash pickup send me and email and we can make arrangements.

The cost is $75.00 cash, paid when you pick up your barrel.

We charge $10.00 to deliver. This charge is per car trip so if you order 3 barrels it is $10.00 but 4 barrels would require 2 trips and therefore would cost $20. We deliver to downtown Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Stittsville and Barrhaven. We usually deliver on weekend.

FAQ

Q - Do you ship outside of Ottawa?
A - The short answer is no, but if you really want one we can look in to the shipping charge.

Q - Can I just stop by and pick one up?
A - It is important that you send me an email ahead of time. Just stopping by may just waste your time as we may not be home or may not have any barrels available.
